lyrics

I’ve been having that same dream
The one where I’m in that strange house

(Have I been lost here before? I’m nauseous from the pattern on the floor. I’ve tried to figure it out but there’s no meaning in the writing on the walls. The paint is cracked, peeling, and I can feel them closing in)

Every room reminds me of you
But you are nowhere to be found

(I feel like I know you as you’ve known me but you’re full of secrets and sometimes my arms bend back. My teeth litter the ground like leaves in November and every word that I spit out is backwards)

I’ve been searching around
It’s like you’ve been sucked up through the ground
I can’t take another look around this forsaken town
Where I can’t hear a sound

Have I been lost here before?
I’m nauseous from the pattern on the floor
I want to believe I’ll wake out of this fever dream
It’s got its hold on my soul
Like I swallowed it whole
I can’t sweat it out

When the terror strikes
In the dead of night
I could swear you’re there
Somewhere in the light

When the terror strikes
In the dead of night
I could swear you’re there
Somewhere in the light
